According to the Grand Rapids Police Department, at approximately four o’clock in the afternoon, a group of three motorcycles were traveling on Fulton Street near Jefferson Avenue when two of the motorcycles collided with a van and then impacted another vehicle.
The accident was described as a “t-bone” by the firefighters. A total of five people, including two people on motorcycles and three people in a van, were taken to the hospital. According to the authorities, one of the bikers, Wade Freeman, 31, from Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away as a result of his injuries. According to statements made to the police by witnesses, speed had a role in the collision. The GRPD has not finished its investigation yet.
