Daniel Long Death, North Wilkesboro NC – Daniel Long has passed away suddenly. He was confirmed dead Wednesday, August 9, 2023. Who was Daniel Long?

Daniel Long was a worker at North Wilkesboro Fire Department. He attended Wilkes Central High School where he completed his secondary education. He studied at Wilkes Community College. He lived in North Wilkesboro, North Carolina where he was also born and raised.

Daniel Long was fondly called “Fridge” by his colleagues and friends in the Fire or EMS services. He joined the North Wilkesboro Fire Department as a Junior Firefighter in 2018.

Over the course of the past few years, the department has had the privilege of watching him mature, gain knowledge, and demonstrate a passion for assisting the residents of North Wilkesboro. This passion extended beyond the city limits, reaching out into the communities of Millers Creek and Ronda as well as the town of Wilkesboro, where he also worked part-time. This passion has been a source of inspiration for the department.
