Daniel Dan Keane CBA Death, Longtime Christian Brothers Academy Coach has died

Dan Keane Death – Longtime Christian Brothers Academy Coach Daniel Keane popularly known as Dan has sadly passed away. He died on Thursday 18th January 2024 leaving those that knew him devastated. He was announced dead on Friday through a Facebook publication that reads “Christian Brothers Academy mourns the loss of Dan Keane, longtime teacher and coach, who passed away peacefully on Thursday”. The circumstances surrounding the actual cause of Daniel Keane’s death has not been made public at the time of this report.

Daniel Keane Career

After joining the CBA faculty in 1977, Keane established himself as a prominent member of the history department. He devoted nearly four decades to teaching before finally calling it quits in 2016. Over the course of his lengthy tenures as the head varsity soccer coach and the head varsity tennis coach, Coach Keane made a huge impact on the landscape of CBA Athletics. The varsity soccer team experienced extraordinary success under his leadership, accumulating 545 victories, five state championships, and nine Shore Conference titles during his tenure as head coach.

Concurrently, the varsity tennis team recorded more than 600 victories in matches and won sixteen state championships. These successes included noteworthy runs of seven consecutive titles from 1980 to 1986 and eight consecutive titles from 1988 to 1995.
