Damon Rees Death – Famous Kiwi Racer and Tony Rees’ son Damon Rees has sadly passed away. He died in the UK on Friday 30th June 2023 at the age of 28 after battling with illness. He was announced dead by Tony Rees motorcycles in a Facebook publication that reads “Damon Stewart Rees 30.03.1995 – 30.06.2023 It Is with a very heavy heart that we confirm Damon Rees #92 has passed away”. As at the time this report was made, the exact cause of his death has not been made known.
Damon Rees Career
After finishing eighth in his debut season in the Superstock 1000 class, Rees moved to the Ashcourt Racing team for his sophomore season of racing. Rees has been racing in the Superstock 1000 class for the past two years. In the Superstocks competition that took place this year, Rees rode a BMW S1000RR. Since he won the 2018 New Zealand Suzuki series, he hasn’t been back on a bike with a capacity of 600cc until now, when he hopped on a Yamaha R6 for his most recent assignment.Rees was victorious in the New Zealand Superbike Supersport title in 2017, and he has also achieved podium finishes in Australia’s version of the competition.
