Damian Dobrinich Staunton, IL, died following a car accident

Damian Dobrinich Death – Damian Dobrinich of Staunton, Illinois, has passed away unexpectedly following a motor vehicle accident leaving his family and friends. The officials were called to the scene of the crash where the pronounced Damian dead. His loved ones are mourning the news of his passing.

Artie Billings of Staunton, Illinois wrote in a social media tribute that was shared on Facebook,  “To the family of Damian Dobrinich I want to share my deepest sympathy with you. Brothers Danny and Jody I’ve known you all since my high school days, this is tough. To Vanessa and Nick there should never have been any doubt how much your father loved his children. I always admired Damian and his family for their closeness and love for each other.

As a decendant of the old style Italian tradition of showing and giving love to each other, I fully understood why they were and stayed so close for their entire lives. I would often see and speak with Damian at school functions and sporting events, although it had been a little while since Damian and I had seen each other in person. One Sunday when Vanessa was to be baptized, as I sat in the back row of the Net Church, I spotted Damian entering the sanctuary. I stood as he approached, reachout my hand and as we shook each other’s hands I told him he was starting to walk around like an old Italian guy.

We smiled and laughed, as we gave each other the old guy side hug, talking about how old we were starting to look. We each shared how nice it was to see each other, as as we parted, I told him I wouldn’t tell Father I saw him at a different church. This would be the last hand shake and smile we would share. So as I want to shed a tear for the family, and do, and now I am, the moment we shared is how I will remember Damian Dobrinich, laughing as he did, and with a smile on his face. I hope you all will find comfort in the days and months ahead remembering all the laughs and good times spent together. Once again to the family of Damian Dobrinich, both close and extended, to all his friends and those who knew him, please accept my deepest sympathy.
