Compton Shooting: 5 hurt, suspect on hoodie at large in Compton, CA

Compton Shooting Investigations: Authorities were on the trail of a shooter responsible for the Thursday shooting in Compton that rushed five individuals to the hospital. At approximately 2:30 p.m., Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies were dispatched to the 1000 block of Acacia Avenue in response to reports of a lethal weapon assault and a victim with a gunshot wound.

Although specifics were scarce and the sequence of events surrounding the shooting remains unknown, authorities reported discovering five victims at the location; all were transported to the hospital, with four being in stable condition and one being in critical condition. Additionally, it is unknown whether all five victims sustained gunshot wounds.

A vehicle situated at the curb had a bullet wound in its rear window, whereas one parked in a driveway bore two bullet holes in its windshield. The area was cordoned off while authorities investigated the incident.
