Cole McPherson Death – A terrible accident occurred on Saturday afternoon in British Columbia’s Sproat Lake Provincial Park, when three young persons, thought to be adolescents, launched their boat onto the lake from the park’s boat launch. Tragically, all three of them drowned. They were traveling across the lake in a canoe when it capsized after they had traveled around 1.5 kilometers. persons on land heard the screams and responded in a small boat.

They were able to save two of the three persons, but the third young man could not be located and was still missing. On Sunday morning, a search was being conducted at the easternmost part of the lake by an RCMP aircraft; however, it looked like the search was complete by noon on Sunday. According to Mike Cann, the Chief of the Sproat Lake Fire Department, firefighters arrived at the scene and gave first treatment to two people before the individuals were taken by ambulance to the West Coast General Hospital in Port Alberni. On Sunday, there was no new information on their condition.

Cole loved any kind of activity that got him outdoors. He loved snowboarding, mountain biking, hiking camping, and fishing. Cole had a bright future ahead of him. After graduating in June, he planned on studying astrophysics.
Cole was friends with a large variety of people, he had a loving girlfriend and was an awesome big brother to his younger brother Carter and younger Sister Holly. He was loved and cherished by his parents Barb and Bryce.
The family will release Cole McPherson’s obituary and funeral arrangements at a later date.
