Coastal Grand Mall Shooting Today, 1 injured after shots fired near Myrtle Beach shopping center

The Myrtle Beach Police Department is looking into a shooting that happened on Friday night and injured one person. At 5:58 p.m., MBPD officers were dispatched to the Coastal Grand Mall area in response to a complaint of gunfire. People can anticipate more police presence in the neighborhood while investigations are underway, according to MBPD Cpl. Chris Starling. There was one injury, though it’s unclear how serious it was at this point.

The identity of the victim was not released by the authorities at the time of this publication. Witnesses reported seeing about 15 police cars in front of the food court parking area.
