He was confirmed dead by his beloved family on Monday, June, 26th, 2023, through a social media publication that says “To my sweet sweet boy. I lost my greatest friend, my brother Clayton James Wasenius. There are simply not enough words to express the pain of losing you, but the one word that keeps coming to mind is love.”
Who was Clayton Wasenius?
Clayton Wasenius was a beloved son to Jim and Stacey Hofmeister-Wasenius and a brother to Maria. He attended the University of Missouri-Columbia from 2017 to 2019 where he studied Computer Science and also attended Penn State University from 2020 to 2022 where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Software Engineering. He worked as a Valet at LAZ Parking from 2020 to 2021 in Newport Beach, California, and also was a Software Engineer Intern at TRC Robotics. He was a part-time Software Engineer Intern at IpserLab.
Clayton was a very motivated, competent, and diligent engineer during his time at TRC Robotics who would stop at nothing to complete the task regardless of his initial comprehension or prior expertise. He was a great communicator with all team members and has the creativity to address and take on challenges that he may not know how to solve right away. He is humble enough to seek assistance when necessary, but he sticks to his own engineering convictions in order to maximize the knowledge he can learn on his own.
