Clayton Richard Baker Hughes, Crowley High School alumnus died at 53
Clayton Richard Death – Friends and family are mourning the unexpected passing of Clayton Richard, a kind and gentle spirit who loved his family very much. Clayton Richard who worked at Baker Hughes was announced dead yesterday, Wednesday, the 7th of June 2023. He died at the age of 53. Brother’s favourite pastime was fishing and watching football. He will be missed by his immediate family and his family at Baker Hughes. Thoughts and prayers are with his friends and family during this difficult time.
For Eleanor’s blood drive in September 2022, almost everyone who donated blood was our family/church family or very close friends. Only three people who donated blood were people we weren’t super close to. Clayton was one of those three. He often crosses my mind & I’m thankful he & so many others made the sacrifice of giving blood for Ellie. It’s a memory I’ll cherish forever.

Clayton Paul Richard was a longtime resident of Crowley, Louisiana. He was born on June 23, 1970. Clayton graduated from Crowley High School. He worked at Baker Hughes, according to his Facebook profile. As a father, Clayton was known to be attentive and supportive of his children’s pursuits.
Survived and preceded in death by
He is survived by four siblings, Murphy “Boo” Richard, Jr. and his wife Christine of Rayne, Shannon “Pooka” Richard and his wife Jamie of Iota, Melissa “Pollet” Colangelo and her husband Carlos of Crowley; and Michael Richard of Crowley; twelve nieces and nephews; and fifteen great-nieces and great-nephews. Brother is preceded in death by his parents, Murphy and Thelma Cormier Richard, Sr.; and one nephew, Brandt Wayne Richard.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 10, 2023, at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel in Crowley for Clayton Paul “Brother” Richard, 52, who passed away Wednesday, June 7, 2023, in Lafayette. Rev. Lenford Whitaker, Pastor of the Pentecostals of Crowley will be officiating for the services. The family is requesting visiting hours to be held Saturday from 9:00 am to the time of service at Geesey-Ferguson Funeral Home. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery at a later date.
