Christina Spigner Death – Christina Spigner passed away tragically in Akron, Ohio on Monday night, October 23, 2023. Gina Christina Star Spigner was announced dead by the father of her child through a social media publication that read “Yesterday Gina Christina Star Spigner passed away. She was killed and taken way too early in life. I don’t know what to even say. We was best friends. We was never apart and we had a wonderful family.”
What was Christina Spigner’s cause of death?
The Summit County Medical Examiner’s Office reports that two persons, including a 38-year-old man who had a gunshot wound to the head, were discovered dead at a house fire near Ellet on Monday night. Akron police are looking into the possibility of a homicide-suicide. Just before 7 p.m., fire trucks and cruisers started lining Lansing Road as the house was engulfed in flames and smoke was pouring out of the windows.
At that point, according to a news release from the Akron Police Department, officers found an unconscious adult woman in the driveway who had been shot several times. At 7:27 p.m., her death was declared. The woman was taken from the site, and firefighters went to work controlling the “active but small fire,” according to the press statement.

Police reported that when the fire was put out, a 38-year-old man’s body with a gunshot wound to the head was discovered in the basement. It was 10:18 p.m. when he was declared dead at the scene. Christina Spigner, 44, was the woman’s identity as determined by the medical examiner. Multiple gunshot wounds to the head and torso were the cause of her death. Jonathan Deford was recognized as a 38-year-old male.
It was concluded that he committed himself despite having a gunshot wound to the head as the cause of death. Investigations are still ongoing regarding the gunshot and the fire. According to police, early reports indicate that in the moments before the incident, there were many gunshots heard at or close to the property.
