Chris Brassard Leominster MA, Man died in Las Vegas triple-murder – GoFundMe

Chris Brassard Death – Christopher Brassard, a 45-year-old resident of Las Vegas, Nevada, and an alumnus of Leominster Senior High School in Massachusetts passed away tragically on Tuesday morning, June 27th, 2023. He was announced dead by a family member through a social media post that says “I’m gonna miss you big bro I love you so much. Thank you for being in my life. Just know you’re little niece will know all about you and how you were the best guy.”

What was Chris Brassard’s cause of death?

Three people were found dead in a Las Vegas apartment last week, and a suspect has been arrested. The coroner’s office says Dina Raker Vail, 80, and Christopher Brassard, 45, died from multiple sharp force injuries. Andrew Graden, 43, died from blunt and sharp force injuries. Officers responded Tuesday morning, June 27th, 2023, after a maintenance worker at an apartment complex on Flamingo Road near Fort Apache Road said he was attacked while performing a welfare check, according to police.

  • Andrew Graden Death

Police arrested 30-year-old Spencer McDonald, who was found holding a large “mace or sledgehammer-type of an instrument,” Lt. Jason Johansson told reporters. In an arrest report released Thursday, police wrote that Vail was McDonald’s grandmother and Graden was Vail’s boyfriend. Brassard was identified as the second maintenance worker checking on the apartment. A friend of Vail’s told police that he would drive her to the dance studio where she taught classes and to doctor’s appointments, according to the report.

On Monday, June 26, he arrived to pick her up but didn’t get an answer when he knocked on the door. He thought she might have gotten a ride from someone else, but she didn’t show up for her class. He reached out to Vail, Graden, McDonald, and another of Vail’s family members but did not get a response. The next day, the friend told police he got a message from another person saying Spencer told them Dina “took the day off,” but they hadn’t heard directly from Dina.

  • Dina Raker Vail Death

The friend went to the complex to ask for a welfare check, according to a report. While contacting the police, he heard apartment maintenance would check as well. Minutes later, he saw a worker running from the apartment and bleeding. The surviving maintenance worker told police he and Brassard went to check on the apartment and saw what he believed to be blood on the walls, the report states. McDonald came out of a spare bedroom holding a hammer, and McDonald ran at them. The worker says he was hit in the back but was able to run away.

Detectives interviewed McDonald and he admitted to killing all three people. He said he killed Dina “a couple of days prior,” then waited for Andrew to come home and killed him. McDonald continued to live in the apartment until the maintenance workers arrived. Police say he did not provide a specific reason for the killings. Investigators also recovered a large chef’s knife and sword, both with blood on them. McDonald has been ordered to remain held at Clark County Detention Center without bail.

Fundraising for Chris Brassard’s funeral

JASON HENDERSHAW is organizing this fundraiser. The fundraising page organized to raise $15,000 has raised the sum of $18,270 at the time of this report. To donate to the family, click on GoFundMe. The fundraising page read “Our beloved friend, Chris Brassard, tragically and horrifically lost his life on Tuesday 6/27/23 while selflessly helping others. His senseless and undeserving passing has left an irreplaceable void in the lives of everyone who knew him, and will certainly lead to substantial financial burdens for his loving family.”

“On top of already expensive funeral costs, his loved ones will have additional travel costs as they work to collect his belongings and attend what will certainly be multiple court proceedings. The tragedy of his murder alone is more than any family should have to endure; for them to also strain to absorb these financial setbacks would only add to their suffering.”

“I am asking for your help to offset these costs and allow Chris’s family to concentrate on what matters most right now – mourning and memorializing him. Chris was an amazing, caring individual who would do anything he could for his family and friends. His loyalty and empathy will be forever missed. Please help to honor his life by donating to this fund. No amount is too small, and 100% of the proceeds will go to his family. We love you Chris and miss your face already. Rest easy, dear friend.”

Chris Brassard’s obituary and funeral arrangements will be released by the family at a later date.
