Man shot at Raleigh apartment complex near Lake Lynn
Police are currently investigating a shooting incident that occurred at a Raleigh apartment complex near Lake Lynn on Sunday night, according to officers. The incident was reported at 10:35 p.m. at 3501 Cumberland Creek Road, situated to the west of Ray Road and just north of Lynn Road.
Upon their arrival, law enforcement found a man with severe gunshot wounds, as stated in a news release from the Raleigh Police Department. The Cumberland Cove apartments, located on the shores of Lake Lynn, were attended by numerous Raleigh police officers and squad cars.
Crime scene tape was visible across a section of the apartment parking lot. As of 5:30 a.m. on Monday, the crime scene remains active.
Chaz Harris obituary and funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date by the family.
