Chayse Gretzan Death – Edmonton Hockey Head Coach Chayse Gretzan has sadly passed away. He died on Saturday 2nd December 2023 at the age of 39. He was confirmed dead through various publications made on social media by family and friends after being involved in a tragic accident at the age of 39. He was a loving and caring man that everyone loves to be around. He looks for ways to praise his players’ efforts and talents rather than dwelling on their shortcomings. In addition to raising spirits, this upbeat attitude helps team members bond with one another and form a strong, supportive group.

Who was Chayse Gretzan?

There was a world outside of hockey that Chayse Gretzan has touched. His players look up to him as more than simply a coach; they also consider him a friend and mentor. His door was never closed, and he makes an effort to get to know each player as an individual. Participation at this level aids athletes in both their on- and off-ice development and success. He knows that being a successful hockey player requires more than just physical ability; he also knows that mental toughness and emotional stability are crucial.

He inspires his players to give their all in games by creating a climate of trust and open dialogue. Coaching character and sportsmanship was just as important as winning, according to Chayse Gretzan. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved son, Walker; dad, Terry (Luisa); siblings, Tara, Cody (Jill), Brianne, & Randi-Marie and Robin; nieces and nephews, Heath, Geir, Peyton, Parker, and Caleb; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; and his Amy Lou. Chayse was predeceased by his babas and gidos, Olga and John and Mary and Morris; and niece, Anne.

A Celebration of Chayse’s Life will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton.
