Peanut and Jayden Howard Death – A Kentucky mother has been arrested and charged with two counts of murder after shooting her two children. Tiffanie Lucas, 32, allegedly shot her kids, ages six and nine, inside their Shepherdsville home Wednesday morning. The children were identified as Peanut and Jayden Howard.

The Bullitt County Sheriff’s Office was notified at 11:07 a.m. about an incident involving a shooting and injuries at a residence. A concerned neighbor, sensing something amiss, entered the house and discovered the children in a bedroom, drenched in blood, with a gun resting on the bed.

Upon the arrival of law enforcement, both children were swiftly transported to Norton’s Children’s Hospital in Louisville, a 30-minute journey, due to their gunshot wounds. The youngsters underwent immediate surgery, but unfortunately, by 2:50 p.m., the authorities confirmed the tragic news that the six-year-old and nine-year-old had passed away from their injuries.

Lucas was apprehended and formally charged with two counts of murder, subsequently being processed at the Bullitt County Detention Center by 3:45 p.m. While the investigation is still in its preliminary stages, any further relevant details will be disclosed when available.

Presently, it appears that all individuals connected to this incident have been identified, and the community is not at risk. An arraignment hearing for Lucas has been scheduled for Thursday morning.

‘It’s sad, I mean what’s this world come to for a mother to shoot her two children like that’ neighbor Steve Steier told the local news station. “It’s devastating, I mean as a mother I can’t imagine thinking that’s the only way,” said neighbor Amanda Mangis.
