Her family confirmed her passing to the newspaper.

American TV host passed away

After beginning her career on local television stations in Grand Rapids and Detroit, Michigan, Duvall went on to build a career that spanned ten years and led to her becoming a nationally renowned figure on arts-and-crafts series broadcast on ABC and HGTV. Duvall is most known for her work in these programs. Others reminisced about how much they had enjoyed watching the show over the years, referring to Carol as a “legend,” and requesting that the network air an extended version of the program in her honor.

Her career in television got its start in 1951 at WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids, where she hosted a show geared toward young audiences. She relocated to Detroit and began working at WWJ-TV, where she held a variety of positions over the course of 18 years, including that of news anchor, co-producer, and host of her first craft-oriented show, Here is the actress Carol Duvall.
