She was 22 years old at the time of her death. She was announced dead on Thursday, July 6th by her father in a social media post that says “I was told the worst thing a parent can hear. My daughter, Caitlin, was murdered yesterday in London. We only reconnected last summer. Only have limited information. I need extra strength and assistance at this point.”

According to police, a 50-year-old construction worker is accused of second-degree murder in connection with a fatality that occurred at a residence in the Oakridge neighborhood of northwest London. According to London police, Caitlin Jennings, 22, died. The 50-year-old David Norman Yates is accused of second-degree murder. Police claim that the two knew one another, though it wasn’t immediately apparent how closely they were connected. The killing of Jennings becomes 2023’s fourth homicide in London so far.
At around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, police were summoned to a residence on 562 Kingway Ave., a quiet residential lane that runs off Wonderland Road. A man and his partner moved into the house less than a year ago, according to neighbors. According to neighbors, the couple had problems and the police had been summoned to the house around seven times in the previous year. According to sources, Yates was a DJ who also worked in the construction industry.

Neighbors claimed that since April, Yates’ home has received at least two calls from the police. Yates was scheduled to go to court on Thursday. The most recent homicide in London before this one happened not far from here on April 20, when retired teacher Carolyn Carter was killed at her house on Redoak Avenue. Jonathan Halfyard, her son, is accused of second-degree murder.

Caitlin Jennings, a former resident of Strathroy, Ontario, and a native of London, Ontario, went to Seton Home Study School. She attended Fanshawe College from 2018 to 2020 and also graduated from Cesine Centro Universitario class of 2021, according to her social media profile. Caitlin worked as a Deli Clerk at Metro Ontario from 2018 to 2020 and also worked at Lynn’s Bakery & Deli from 2019 to 2019. She was an employee at Burnbrae Farms and at Tim Hortons Café. She was currently a Courier Delivery Driver at THE PRODUCE GUYZ. She was a loving daughter to Dan Jennings.
