BWI Airport Closed: Active bomb threat at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport

Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport Investigations – Multiple agencies are responding to the reports of an active bomb threat at the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport in Baltimore, Maryland on Wednesday. According to reports, the Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport located on Friendship Rd, Baltimore, Maryland has been closed  as officials investigate the claims of an active bomb threat.

The road leading to the terminal at Baltimore/Washington International Marshall Airport was closed Wednesday afternoon as part of a police investigation. There was a ban on vehicle access to the area immediately surrounding the airport’s main building. Airport officials requested that passengers remain seated in the terminal.

According to the Maryland Department of Emergency Management, the section of Interstate 195 that connects to the airport via Aviation Boulevard has been blocked to traffic. Authorities from BWI, the airport police, and the local police force are all on the scene.

ALERT: Due to law enforcement investigation, the terminal roadway is temporarily shut down. Vehicular traffic approaching the airport is currently being held.
