Bulelwa Mkutukana Death – Well-known South African Singer Bulelwa Mkutukana popularly known as Zahara  has sadly passed away. She died on Monday 11th December 2023 at the age of 35. She was confirmed dead through various publications made on social media by family, friends and lovers of her music. The circumstances surrounding the actual cause of Bulelwa Mkutukana’s death has not been revealed at the time this report was made.

Bulelwa Mkutukana Birth

Zahara, who was born with the name Bulelwa Mkutukana to begin with, came into the world in the Phumlani Informal Settlement, which is located close to East London in the Eastern Cape of South Africa. She was the sixth child out of seven siblings, and she lived with her parents, Nokhaya and Mlamli Mkutukana, in this unassuming environment. There was a crucial turning point in her musical path when she was able to acquire a record deal with TS Records. This led to the publication of her debut album, “Loliwe,” in 2011, which achieved the incredible achievement of becoming double platinum.

Zahara decided to leave TS Records and join forces with Warner Music after leaving the label. Her third studio album, titled “Country Girl” and released in 2015, gained triple platinum certification. “Mgodi” (2017), her fourth studio album, became her best-selling record and earned platinum certification. This trend continued with her fourth album from 2017.

On iTunes, Zahara’s fifth album, titled “Nqaba Yam” (2021), achieved the highest possible position, becoming the number one album of all time. An impressive number of awards have been bestowed upon her throughout her successful career, including seventeen South African Music Awards, three Metro FM Awards, and one Nigeria Entertainment Award overall. Zahara, who was known all over the world, was selected for inclusion in the BBC’s list of 100 Women for the year 2020.

Her presence in the music industry was further strengthened in 2021 when she was invited to serve as a guest judge on the seventeenth season of the South African version of the singing competition Idols. She was a talent and humble personality. She will be deeply missed by all.
