Brooklyn Sims Death – Escambia County Home Depot employee passed away after the shooting that happened inside Escambia County Home Depot on Friday. On Monday, she was identified by her close friends as being 18-year-old Brooklyn Sims. She had been working for a contracted inventory company at the Home Depot on Davis Highway, where she worked as an employee. She was shot and murdered on Friday, August 11, 2023, inside a Home Depot store in Escambia County.

Brooklyn Sims was a mother to a little girl who was 2 years old at the time she passed away. After the shooting on Friday afternoon, Keith Agee, 20, was taken into custody and charged with her murder. According to the deputies, Agee and Sims were familiar with one another. On Monday evening at six o’clock, friends will be releasing balloons in honor of Sims in Davis Park in Citronelle, Alabama.
In the video footage obtained from the surveillance system at Home Depot, which is referenced in the arrest report, the suspect, Agee, can be seen walking into the shop and finally making a turn down aisle 52.
The other two people who were shot while working in the same aisle as Sims informed deputies that Agee spoke to her momentarily before firing around five gunshots. Sims was one of the victims. According to the information provided in the report, one of the workers had a bullet brush against her back as she fled the aisle, and the other worker had a bullet brush against her hand as she fled. Both were taken by ambulance to the hospital to receive medical attention.
In aisle 52, deputies discovered the lifeless body of Sims, according to the report. According to the report, video surveillance from Home Depot shows Agee sprinting out of the store through the front entrance after the incident. He got into a silver vehicle with four doors and started driving in the direction of Duval Street.
A male contacted 911 while deputies were still on the scene and provided his location while stating that he wanted to turn himself in. After thereafter, according to the sheriff, deputies made the arrest at the Mellow Mushroom restaurant located on Bayou Boulevard.
Agee disclosed to the law enforcement officers that he began his day by reporting to work at AM/NS Calvert located in Mt. Vernon, Alabama. After that, he was on his way to Pensacola when he got a phone call from a doctor’s office in the area.
