Brooke Lawson Death: Law enforcement agencies say the 17-year-old teenager found unresponsive after a shooting in Lansing Township, Michigan has passed away. According to reports, Brooke Lawson died after she was shot multiple times by a 35-year-old woman. Lansing Police say a 20-year-old woman was transported to an area hospital following the same shooting.
Authorities say the teen was killed and a woman was injured in the shooting in the shooting that occurred on Thursday night in in Lansing Township. On December 21, at approximately 10 p.m., police arrived at the 1400 block of Ravenswood Drive after dispatchers reported hearing gunfire in the area of a call.
Arriving officers located a 17-year-old girl unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the torso and a 20-year-old woman shot in the hip. Both were taken to the hospital, where the 17-year-old died. According to police, the 20-year-old is in good condition.
A 35-year-old woman was detained and charged with murder and attempted murder following the incident. Lansing Township Police believe they knew each other and no one was in danger. Law enforcement agencies say the investigation is at the preliminary stage.
