Brianna Long Death – 21-year-old Valdosta State University student was shot and killed lastnight after gunfire erupted at her workplace. Brianna Long passed away in a shooting that happened at Flip Flops Bar in Lowndes County, Georgia on Saturday. Law enforcement agencies were called to the scene of a shooting. According to reports, a number of subject reluctantly fired shots outside the bar located on Baytree Rd, Valdosta, GA.

According to law enforcement agencies, one of the subject fired through the window of the bar and struck the 21-year-old bartender. Brianna was pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident. Following the incident Valdosta State Blazers Defensive Back Jordan Billups described the victim Brianna as a loving soul who cared about everyone.

Mourning the beloved student and friend, Jordan Billups wrote; “Wish this was all a dream right now as I’m typing this. Some things in life you don’t understand and this one I don’t, but I know God makes no mistakes. One moment of you texting me “good luck” before the game then the next hearing you aren’t here with us anymore. THIS ONE HURTS! Bri, when we got to Valdosta you were one of my first friends and became my best friend! You were the most kind, sweet, smart, fun person to be around and I will always hold the memories we’ve made dear to my heart. I love you forever and always, until we meet again.”

According to investigators, the suspect identified as a male in his 20s fled the scene after the incident. He was later located and taken into custody for murder charges. Further details will be released.
