Brian Helmers Death – St. Cloud Technical College Alumnus Brian Helmers of Dunnell, Minnesota has sadly passed away. He died on Thursday 2nd November 2023 at the age of 37 surrounded by loved ones. He was pronounced dead at at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. The news of his death was made known through a post that says “The world is a little darker today without you in it, Brian Helmers. I’m incredibly thankful for all the memories we’ve made and how close our Helmers family has always been.” The cause of his death has not been released.

Brian Lee Helmers came into the world on the 5th of May, 1986, in Fairmont, Minnesota. His proud parents, Gary and Sharon (Janssen) Helmers, welcomed him with joy. Brian’s early education took place at Martin County West Schools, where he forged lasting connections and memories before ultimately graduating with the class of 2004. After high school, he pursued further education at St. Cloud Technical College, where he honed his skills and prepared for the professional world.
In 2006, he commenced his career at Pioneer Hi Bred International, assuming the role of a dedicated lab coordinator. With a passion for sports, Brian was particularly drawn to golf, often spending countless hours on the course with his close-knit group of golfing friends. Alongside his love for golf, he also found excitement in dirt track racing, adding another layer to his vibrant personality.

He is survived by his Father, Gary Helmers and Denise Hoffman of rural Sherburn, Minnesota; his Mother, Sharon (Doyle) Moeller of rural Sherburn; aunt, Deb Johnson of Fairmont, Minnesota, Wendy (Dennis) Beaulieu of Babbit, Minnesota, Penny (Tom) Claussen of rural Sherburn, Minnesota; uncles, Alan Helmers of Dunnell, Minnesota, Dennis (Connie) Helmers of Dunnell, Minnesota, Mike (Sharon) Helmers of Owatonna, Minnesota, Terry (Becky) Helmers if Dunnell, Minnesota, Dennis Hoppe of Trimont, Minnesota; nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. He is also survived by his dog, Scoop. Brian was preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Leanna Helmers; Paul and Mary Groskreutz, Herman Janssen; uncles, Doug Johnson; aunt, Lola Helmers, Judith Nielson, Linda Hoppe, Ruth Pavich and other relatives.
A Service of Remembrance for Brian L. Helmers will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, November 10, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dunnell, Minnesota with burial in Lake Fremont Cemetery in Dunnell. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 9, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Dunnell.
