Brian Frankowski Death – Designer and Fabricator at University of Pittsburgh Brian Frankowski has sadly passed away. He died after a courageous battle with cancer. He was confirmed dead through a post that reads “Please keep Devin Frankowski and her family in your prayers. We lost a great friend and coach from our association. Brian you will be forever in our hearts”. Brian Frankowski was an Apprentice Tool and Die Maker Serviceman at Baltec/Bracker Corp located in South Point, for 4 years from 1980 – 1984.

Brian Frankowski Career

He served as a Journeyman Machinist/Instrument Maker at Gatan Inc. in Warrendale, Pennsylvania, from 1984 to 1995. In this role, he conducted interviews and played a key role in the hiring process. He also took charge of developing manufacturing procedures to create precision machined parts that adhered to the quality specifications outlined in engineering drawings. Additionally, he demonstrated expertise in precision welding for scientific instrumentation. Subsequently, he transitioned to the position of Outside Sales Representative at CNC Sales and Applications Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio, holding the role for one year from 1995 to 1996.

Following his tenure in sales, he assumed the position of Applications Design Engineer at Chick Workholding Solutions Inc. for the duration of 1996 to 1997. During this time, he collaborated closely with clients to devise solutions for manufacturing challenges, contributing to the design and production of custom projects. Later, he took on the role of Designer/Fabricator at the University of Pittsburgh. In this capacity, he was entrusted with the design and execution of manufacturing techniques and procedures specifically for the development of medical devices.

Johnny Moore established a GoFundMe account on behalf of Micheal Frankowski on 28th December 2023  in order to solicit help with Brian Frankowski’s medical expenditures and other expenses. The goal of the fundraiser was to raise the sum of $25,000 but $24,200 has been raised as of this writing. As of the time that this article was published, the account had received donations from 228 donors.

A statement from the account says “Hello, Our friend Brian Frankowski has been diagnosed with Glioblastoma (Brain Cancer) earlier this year and has been fighting to beat it. It is a very tough road. Brian is a very hard worker, he is a designer fabricator for the University of Pittsburgh at the McGowan Center Institute for Regenerative Medicine in the South Side”.
