According to authorities, a resident of a Rothschild residence who escaped from police died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The investigation into the deadly shooting that took place on January 3rd evening is being led by the Division of Criminal Investigation of the Wisconsin Department of Justice. When police from three local departments arrived at a house in the 1000 block of Urban Street at approximately 9:45 p.m. to conduct a welfare check, they spoke with the resident, who then reportedly went into the bathroom.
The individual then displayed a gun and fired a cartridge, according to the police, inflicting a self-inflicted gunshot wound. At a nearby hospital, the resident was declared dead despite attempts to save his life. According to officials, all police officers were outfitted with body cams, and no policemen were hurt. In accordance with agency protocol, the concerned officer was placed on administrative leave.

On February 13, 1992, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, Jason and Stephanie Bauer of Spencer welcomed their eldest son, Brian P. Bauer, into the world. After completing his studies at Colby High School in 2010, he married Ashley on August 11th, 2018, having first met her in 2012. Together, they raised their three kids, Carly, Blake, and Cora, in Rothschild. In order to train as a diesel technician, Brian attended Universal Tech Institute in Lisle, Illinois in 2010.
He spent a couple years working at Long Haul Fleet Service after graduating from college before moving to UPS, where he has spent the last four years. When Brian wasn’t working, he enjoyed returning home to spend time with his family, play with their dogs, play Guitar Hero with his kids, and barbecue or smoke foods for family gatherings. In his free time, he liked to go camping with the family and play golf with friends. He also loved to attend cheerleading contests and celebrate birthdays and anniversaries.
