She was announced dead by her beloved mother through a social media publication that read “It’s with the heaviest of heart that we even have to post this. Ashley passed away Saturday afternoon. We need prayer for answers, piece of mind and justice. We loved our beautiful girl and this world will never be the same. The only piece of mind we have is knowing our babies are together and they will be there to greet us!”
Who was Ashley Duncan?
Ashley Duncan, a resident of Dallas, Texas, and a native of Niskayuna, New York. She was a loving daughter to Darrin Duncan and Tonya Koch-Duncan. Many people became lifetime friends because she consoled and encouraged them with her pleasant smile and attentive ear. Ashley’s kindness, sense of humor, and knowledge made her a beloved presence in the lives of her family and friends, and she left a lasting legacy for those who were fortunate enough to have met her.
She was loved and cherished by her cousins Adam Duncan, Nick Duncan, Ryan Duncan, Katie Mae Gonyea, and Raegan Adrianna. Those who have had the good fortune to come into contact with Ashley consider her as a beacon of serenity capable of soothing even the most tormented spirits. Her distinct and amusing personality enchanted everyone around her. Her friendly and approachable personality affected many people, and she became an inspiration to all.

Thank you for the memories, laughter, happiness and friendship that you have added to my life.” Raegan Adrianna said. “I will always cherish it. Certain people you come across in life really impact you, I truly mean it when I say I wouldn’t be who I am today if it wasn’t for her. love you Ashley.”
Anna Russell also wrote “The dreaded post I have never wanted to make, Ashley is now with her brother Alex in heaven. Some would say we were life long best friends but to us we never knew anything less than sisters. God knew how much we needed each other when we met in the 4th grade.” Anna added “I don’t think I will ever find a relationship like I had with my Ash, it was truly one of a kind. Please keep her family in your prayers as everyone is going through a really hard time.”
