Arizona Mills Shooting Investigations – A heavy police presence has been reported in the area of the famous AZ Mills Mall Saturday. According to reports, Arizona Mills located at 5000 S Arizona Mills Cir, Tempe, AZ has been evacuated as law enforcement agencies respond to the location following reports of a brawl and possible shots fired/ a person with a weapon in the vicinity.
The Tempe, Arizona mall area has now been evacuated as Tempe Police Department responds to the scene for active investigations. Law enforcement agencies have NOT confirmed this to be an active shooter investigation.
What Happened At AZ Mills Mall?
Tempe Police has asked everyone to stay away from the Arizona Mills Mall as officers with the department are actively investigating an incident at the mall. The department did not immediately confirm the claims of shots fired/armed persons at the location. Law enforcement agencies arrived at the location and placed the mall on lockdown to ensure the safety of every shopper, visitor, and worker on the scene.
Authorities on the scene confirmed that law enforcement agencies were called to the scene of an escalated fight among individuals. Viral videos from the scene show the deserted inside of the mall with scattered tables and chairs. According to a local who preferred to remain anonymous; “Everyone left their drinks and food and ran as fast their legs could carry them, this is so sick.” “One can’t even get a drink with their families anymore…”
