Andrew Wilkinson Hagerstown MD, Local circuit court judge allegedly shot 3 times – shooting

Hagerstown Shooting Today – Judge Andrew Wilkinson who is a local circuit court judge has been reportedly followed home and shot three times in his home driveway located at 19100 block Olde Waterford Road in Hagerstown. According to sources, the police are out in full force looking for the suspect. The condition of the victim is currently unknown as few details were made available at the time of this publication. The helicopters are being used in the search.

Who is Andrew Wilkinson?

Associate Judge Andrew F. Wilkinson serves as a member of the Maryland Washington County Circuit Court. On January 10, 2020, Governor Larry Hogan nominated him to the bench. Wilkinson founded his own legal office in 2018 and worked as a lone practitioner there until his appointment. He was an expert in commercial law, civil litigation, estate planning, and land-use and real estate law.

Prior to that, from 2006 to 2012, he worked as an associate county attorney for the Washington County Attorney’s Office and as a partner at Divelbiss & Wilkinson. In 1994, Wilkinson graduated from the University of North Carolina with a bachelor’s degree in economics. In 1997, he finished his J.D. at Emory University School of Law. Both Maryland (1997) and the United States District Court for the District of Maryland (1999) have granted him admission to practice.

About Andrew Wilkinson

Wilkinson started his legal career as a law clerk for the Washington County Circuit Court upon his graduation from law school. He held that position until 1998 when he started working for himself. At Barton & Williams, he began as an associate and worked his way up to partner status in 2003. The Maryland State Bar Association, the Washington County Bar Association, and the Maryland Trial Lawyers Association are among the organizations he has belonged to.

In addition, he served on the Downtown Rotary Club Board of Directors, Food Resources, Inc. Board of Directors, and the Maryland State Board of Law Examiners Character Committee. Wilkinson grew up in Hagerstown, Pennsylvania, and is a member of St. Ann Catholic Church. He was born in Agana, Guam. Wilkinson has coached young soccer for the Hagerstown Soccer Club, the Hagerstown Area Young Soccer League, and the Hagerstown YMCA when he is not addressing legal problems.
