Anderson Keaton King Death – United States Army Reserves Officer Anderson Keaton King who was affectionately known as Andy has sadly passed away. He died on Thursday 2nd November 2023 after a tragic car accident at the age of 27. Andy was born on March 25, 1996 in Columbia, South Carolina,  he was the son of Christopher and Kay King. He brought happiness and motivation to everyone around him, leaving an unforgettable impression on those whose lives he influenced.

Anderson King Education and Career

During the period from 2014 to 2018, he pursued studies in Agricbusiness at Virginia Tech. Preceding this, from May 2013 to September 2013, he worked as a Carpenter’s Assistant at A Building Co. situated in Berryville, VA. Subsequently, between May 2015 and January 2017, he held the position of Shift Leader at Maurice’s Piggie Park BBQ for a duration of one year and nine months. Following this, he served as a Farm Hand at Wall Brother’s Dairy in Blacksburg, VA, for a substantial period of three years and four months, starting from February 2015 and concluding in May 2018.

His professional trajectory then led him to the United States Army, where he assumed the role of a Platoon Leader for two years and six months, commencing in May 2018 and culminating in October 2020. After demonstrating exceptional leadership skills, he received a promotion to the esteemed position of Transportation Officer in Salem, Virginia.

In this role, he efficiently oversaw the transportation of essential commodities to forward elements. Continuing his journey in the military, he later served as a Company Commander, showcasing his dedication and commitment to his duties at the United States Army. In his later career endeavors, he became a valuable and dedicated employee at Helena Agri-Enterprises, LLC.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Radford King and father-in-law, Vincent Legare Jr. Andy is survived by his loving wife, Amy Legare King, and their cherished daughter, Adalyn King; brothers, Alexander King (Lauren), Adam King (Caylee), Ash King; parents, Christopher and Kay King; grandparents, Joanne and Francis Eargle and Evelyn King; nephews, Charlie and Henry King; aunt and uncle, Sheila and Wayne Eargle; cousins, Connor and Hayden Eargle; mother-in-law, Tracey Legare; sister-in-law, Nicole Tinsman (Trae); brother-in-law, Vincent Legare III; and many other family and friends.

A funeral service to honor Andy’s life will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 1:00 PM at Emanuel Lutheran Church in Woodstock, with Pastor Nathan Robinson officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5:00-8:00 PM at Valley Funeral Service in Edinburg. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church, 127 E. High St., Woodstock, VA 22664 or to a local FFA chapter of your choice.
