Amari Seldon Death – The University of Maryland Police Department is currently investigating a tragic incident that happened on Campus yesterday, Tuesday, the 25th of October 2023. According to reports, a sophomore psychology student at the University of Maryland died by suicide. The victim has been identified as Amari Seldon.

What happened at UMD Today?

According to reports, a sophomore psychology student at the University of Maryland was found dead Tuesday afternoon on the north side of SECU Stadium. The student has been identified as Amari Seldon. He was enrolled in this university’s behavioral and social sciences college.

“The tragic loss of life of a member of our campus community is deeply painful,” according to a campus-wide email Tuesday evening from Patty Perillo, this university’s student affairs vice president.

Denton Hall residents were notified via email by the department of Resident Life at this university that the student resided in the aforementioned building. The Maryland Chief Medical Examiner’s office will ascertain the official cause of death, according to an email sent to The Diamondback on Tuesday by UMPD spokesperson Lt. Rosanne Hoaas. No threat exists to the university community at large.
