Alrick Alphanso Barrett Death – The sheriff’s office reported that a man and his estranged wife got into an argument, which resulted in a fatal shooting in Fort Bend County on Saturday. At a press conference on Wednesday, Fort Bend County Sheriff Eric Fagan stated that five people had died, including the gunman and a kid. According to Fagn, Alrick Shawn Alphanso Barrett, 46, asked his wife’s mother whether he could enter the house when he was dropping off a youngster.
Barrett shot his wife, her mother, his 8-year-old niece, another lady, and a man after asking them to reconcile. He then turned the pistol on himself, according to Fagan. During the shooting, two additional children, ages seven and thirteen, were hidden within the house. They made a 911 call. This incident took place on Cory Cornel Lane, close to the intersection of Clodine Road and Bissonnet Street, just before seven in the morning.
The victims were shot in different parts of the house while still wearing their pajamas, according to the sheriff. There was no history of violence between the pair, according to Fagan. On January 25, 2023, an argument resulted in the call for police. They’re still looking into Barrett’s possible criminal history.
