Adrian Walcroft Death – Adrian Walcroft, the co-owner of Cartwheel Creamery situated in the Pohangina Valley near Palmerston North, New Zealand has died. Adrian Walcroft was announced dead yesterday by Feilding Farmers Market. He passed away suddenly due to heart failure. Far too young just a week away from turning 55. He was the beloved husband to Jill Walcroft.
Adrian Walcroft, who with his wife Jill, owns Cartwheel Creamery in the Pohangina Valley just out of Palmerston North, was named the Milk Test NZ Champion Cheesemaker and won three other awards for their cheeses.

Who was Adrian Walcroft?
In 2011, Adrian and Jill embarked on their cheesemaking venture, establishing Cartwheel Creamery after honing their craft for years. Their 12-hectare farm in the picturesque Pohangina Valley, Manawatū, served as both their home and the birthplace of their acclaimed cheeses.
Their efforts culminated at the 20th annual NZ Champion of Cheese Awards held in Hamilton this past May, where Cartwheel Creamery’s exceptional night unfolded, clinching three prestigious awards.
Adrian Walcroft’s journey with Cartwheel Creamery has spanned twelve years, transitioning from being recognized as the country’s premier hobby cheesemaker in 2012 to securing the pinnacle accolade in professional cheesemaking in 2023—the Milktest NZ Champion Cheesemaker award.
Champion Cheesemaker is selected by a special judging team who assesses three different styles of cheeses made by each entrant to choose a winner whose cheeses are the best across the board. Bestowing the accolade on Adrian Walcroft the judges noted.
